Topsport Kayaking is a well-known specialist kayak retail and kayak instruction business. Established by Brian Lodge in 1986, Topsport Kayaking has been a leading developer of kayaking and kayak retail in the New Zealand market. As the first specialist kayak retailer in New Zealand, many innovative kayak developments, taken for granted today, began at Topsport Kayaking.
Len Smyth & Sharon English purchased the business back in 1999. In June 2006, Craig & Bianca
Porteous purchased 50% of the business from Len & Sharon. Topsport is owned and operated by kayakers, for kayakers, which means that Topsport has excellent resources to ensure that "you", the customer, gets the best service possible.
