The Hanmer Springs Mountain Bike Club first started in August 2004.The Club consists of a small number of volunteers who help build and maintain the mountain bike tracks in the Hanmer forest.

A lot of thanks must be given to Matariki Forests who have allowed us to build mountain bike tracks on their land. Without their support and such a great relationship we would not have the great tracks that we do.

The Clubs main fundraisers are the Hanmer Hammerhead mountain bike race, map sales and donations. These all provide funds to pay for shingle boardwalks, tools and maintenance and ultimately great tracks!
