Like many New Zealanders a few of us set off overseas to see what the big wide world had to offer. To complete various adventures we went shopping online and discovered the fantastic online gear shops in the UK and US, and what’s better we even got to work for one! After finishing our must-see list we decided to come home to the Land of the Long White Cloud where the outdoors are better, things are less crowded and set up our own website.

We wanted to offer kiwis a convenient and safe online shopping environment that they could purchase things for their favourite pastimes when they wanted to and without the need to traipse around the streets. We wanted the website to reflect a home grown NZ feel, and that was how activekiwi.co.nz was born.

The people at Active Kiwi have been mountain biking, road riding, climbing, tramping and kayaking for a long time so have an understanding of the products we offer and share a passion for the activities you enjoy as well. We just wish we had a little more time to enjoy our favourite pastimes, but we love what we do and hope you do too.
