Skimboarding has hit New Zealand big time! With more and more skimboarders on NZ coasts, we have finally seen better skimboards hit our local surf shops.

Well, it's all quite simple. In October 2007 I decided that, yes, skimboarding is growing in New Zealand, but at a very slow rate. I have seen many skimboarders pop up here and there and have noticed that when one person skimboards at one beach, others see what people can do on them and then want to try it themselves and then they show others and so forth creating an exponential growth of skimboarders! So it is through this website that I hope the sport (yes, I call it a sport, just like snowboarding and surfing etc.) can grow using the information both you and I can provide.
