Red Bull Formula Santo Domingo, the biggest motorsport event ever to be presented in the Dominican Republic, keeps breaking records. After 200,000 Dominicans gathered to watch the Red Bull Racing Show Run, the next day the car reached over 180 kilometers per hour on sand in Juanillo Beach Cap Cana, a feat never seen before in this sport.

It’s been called the most famous Nissan supercar ever built and it’s heading for Speedshow in July just for Kiwi motorsport fans.Expat New Zealand racing legend Steve Millen received one of the first examples of the Nissan GT-R to arrive in the United States last year. Utilising the aftermarket performance parts produced and sold by his own company, Stillen, Millen transformed what was already a sensational 357 kW (485 bhp) vehicle into an outstanding 456 kW (620 bhp) beast of a performance car.

New Zealand racing driver Matt Halliday is now in Monaco preparing for Round 4 of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup being held as a support event to the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix this coming weekend. The Californian based Kiwi star is expecting another tough weekend especially on the historic 3.34 kilometres “round the houses” street circuit through the Mediterranean Principality.

A first and a third, two podiums, a decent haul for Red Bull Racing during the weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix. For the winner Mark Webber, there was only one small ‘moment’ in his charge to victory from pole and that was his team-mate desperate to push passed him before the first turn.
