New Zealand’s most exciting and popular motorsport and motoring show, Speedshow, returns to the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland for the weekend of 24 and 25 July in 2010. The fourth annual Speedshow motorsport and automotive extravaganza will again feature the very best race cars of all descriptions alongside fantastic performance cars to delight car fans of all ages, says organiser Keith Sharp.
“Essentially if it’s cool and it’s fast, it’s at Speedshow!
“At its core, Speedshow is a motorsport show – show visitors and exhibitors love the fact that Speedshow keeps that focus. If you love motorsport of any form – historic single seaters, V8s and speedway sprint-cars to dragsters and drifters, you’ll find plenty to enjoy at Speedshow. Add in an incredible array of performance cars ranging from the coolest new cars on the market to hot rods and other customised vehicles, and once again, Speedshow is set to delight fans during its new July date at the Showgrounds.”
Sharp has moved Speedshow from its original September date to July as he was able to secure a three year contract for the July option.
“With the Rugby World Cup coming to New Zealand in 2011, the whole of the ASB Showgrounds and all other venues are booked solid in September 2011, so we thought it was better to secure Speedshow’s dates now,” says Sharp. “We’ve had very positive feedback from exhibitors about the July date and look forward to offering fans a very enjoyable weekend activity during the winter months.”
Exhibitor interest in Speedshow 2010 is again very strong. “Within two days of our 2010 exhibitor information pack going out, we had eight confirmed exhibitor contracts back in our in-box, which is tremendously encouraging that Speedshow will once again offer something unique and popular for exhibitors and fans alike.”
Speedshow takes place at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland over the weekend of 24 and 25 July 2010, opening at 9am each day and closing at 6pm Saturday and 5pm Sunday. The event’s website, www.speedshow.co.nz, has recently been updated with photos from 2009 and all exhibitor and visitor information. Tickets will again be available from Ticketek.
