NZ Airbrush Art Competition and Exhibition 2010

Airbrush Artists from all over NZ are encouraged to present their works of art at the 4 & Rotary Nationals, ASB Showgrounds, Auckland on 30th January 2010.

Artists are requested to present their best "pieces" of motoring-related airbrushed art, e.g. a bonnet, door skin, motorcycle tank, canvas (please make sure it’s motoring related), flat panel, helmet or virtually anything airbrushed. All artwork in the exhibition must be suitable to be displayed on a wall, stand, table or be free-standing to create a gallery style exhibition.

How to Register - Hurry Time and Space is Limited

To register via e-mail, send your name, address, contact phone number, dimensions of the artwork (eg: W x H x D cm) and a clear photo to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Registrations without images will NOT be accepted.

To post in your entry, please include the same details (typed or written clearly) with a photo and send your entry to:

Registrations MUST be received before 5pm Monday 25th January 2010, so that exhibition spaces can be allocated and arranged. ALL artwork needs to be delivered to the ASB Showgrounds on the 29th January 2010 between 10am - 3pm.

Displaying
Artists may identify and promote themselves by name and contact number, including business details. To maintain fairness, all signs displaying these details can be no bigger than 15cm square.

Awards Presentation
The awards presentation will take place at the event on the Saturday afternoon. Award winners will receive a gift certificate redeemable for any product in the Anest Iwata or House Of Kolor range. The Six categories are:

• BEST OVERALL - - $500 certificate    • RUNNER-UP - $250 certificate

• BEST BEGINNER* - $250 certificate    • PEOPLES CHOICE - $250 certificate

• MOST ORIGINAL - $250 certificate    • BEST GRAPHICS - $250 certificate
* we reserve the right to refuse entry to this category

Judging Criteria
Artwork will be judged throughout the day. Judging will take into account such aspects as:
- Technical Detail
- Impact
- Theme, story or graphic design
- Quality of finish
Note: People's Choice award is solely determined by number of votes by the public. Only one vote per person will be allowed.

Sale or Removal of Artwork
Artists may sell their displayed items, but items cannot be removed from the display until the close of the show on Saturday evening.

Terms & Conditions of Entry

  1. Registration does not automatically indicate acceptance of any article for display.
  2. Artists can submit multiple items, but one registration form per item must be submitted. Entries received before 5pm Monday 25th January 2010 will receive preference for space allocation.
  3. Articles are to be delivered to ASB Showgrounds on the 29th January 2010.
  4. All items for display must be clearly labeled with the owners name and contact phone number

  5. Please note that acceptance of an entry to the Airbrush Competition will include 1 x pass to the 4 & Rotary Show at ASB Showgrounds 30th January 2010.  Note only one pass per entrant regardless of the number of pieces entered.

  6. Anest Iwata, House Of Kolor, Smits Group and 4 & Rotary accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any item whilst they are on exhibition.

  7. The judges’ decisions will be final and no further correspondence will be entered into.

  8. 4 prizes will be awarded: Best Overall, Runner Up, Highly Commended, and the Peoples Choice Award.

  9. Articles are not to be removed before the close of the show.
