Tires of Fire this Sunday November 15th 12pm - 2pm Beaumont St, Tankfarm, Auckland. Tires of Fire returns to Auckland in all it's blazing, tire burning glory! With the amount of smoke that pours out the back of a wide variety of fixed gear bikes when this event comes to town, one would be forgiven for thinking that there were indeed “Tires of Fire” present at each location stop.

Downtown Auckland was the setting for the start of the Red Bull Eye in the Sky. A fixed gear alleycat race with a difference. The fixed gear and track bike riding scene is quite developed in New Zealand and the riders were eagerly awaiting this race. Some driving for over a day to come to Auckland to take part. The concept is simple; 40 riders race their bikes in a 13km circuit around the city.
