Cameron Cole claims his second podium at Leogang World Cup as he and Sam Blenkinsop make history with first podium double for New Zealand. Maxxis-Rocky Mountain team rider Cameron Cole, 22, has continued his rise in UCI World Cup downhill racing by finishing fifth on a wet, rough and challenging track at Leogang, Austria at the weekend. |

Leatt Crank Taupo has burst onto the MTB event scene and is sure to become a ‘classic event’. Combining Cross Country, Downhill as well as an “All Mountain” (Combined points from XC and DH) category the event proved a winner with riders and spectators. Spectators will be talking about the ‘fence jump’ for some time. 200 riders fronted up to take on the event Saturday 22nd May made up of around 80 downhill racers and 120 Cross country riders.

Former world junior downhill champion Cameron Cole, of Christchurch, New Zealand, will begin his 2010 World Cup campaign in downhill racing this weekend at Maribor, Slovenia. Ranked 22nd in the UCI world rankings, Cole is again backed by the Maxxis-Rocky Mountain team and the 22-year-old is excited by his preparation for the season.

A thrilling race in the UCI Oceania Mountain Bike Championships 4X final on Friday evening in Dunedin, New Zealand, saw seasoned World Cup racer and New Zealand downhill champion Wyn Masters, of Rotorua, clash with 16-year-old Daniel Franks, of Christchurch, to win the top medal.
