Ben Townley has successfully scored his first overall podium of the season at round 5 of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross championship held in Denver Colorado. The gutsy New Zealander posted a 6-2 score for second overall and now has his sights set on his first AMA Motocross victory.

New Zealand’s Ben Townley has claimed his second successive podium of the season as the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross championship has hit the halfway point for round 6 of the 12 round series. The Lucas Oil – Troy Lee Designs – Honda racer narrowly missed out on his first moto win at the Red Bud National however another solid score of 4-3 has shifted the Kiwi to fourth in the championship standings.

"Never ever give up“ – that’s what last years winner Andreas Lettenbichler had to say when he finally crossed the finish line of the Red Bull Romaniacs first „outdoor“ raceday. Lettenbichler reached the day’s finish more than 2 hours behind stage winner Graham Jarvis (UK, Sherco) and secured a respectable third place on a stage that was regarded as a „little shop of horrors“ by most of the riders. Prologue-winner Chris Birch finished second today and managed to stay close to Jarvis in the results.
