Snow Sports New Zealand today announced selections to its 2011 New Zealand Snowboard Teams. After stellar performances during the Northern Hemisphere season both Rebecca Torr and Liam Ryan have been promoted to the national team while long-time national team member Juliane Bray has now been elevated to the Legends. |

As luck would have it amidst changeable Spring conditions the Billabong Bro Down and Von Zipper Rail Shred went off at Snow Park NZ this weekend. A field of around 50 riders showed up to compete in the events on Friday and Saturday. |

Two more alpine snowboarding junior world champions were decided today at Snow Park NZ in the parallel slalom with Russia’s Dimitry Bazanov (19) and Sabine Schoeffmann (18) of Austria taking out the male and female titles respectively.
