Small waves stall beginning of Hyundai Pro Longboard Tour |

Next to no surf on the entire northern east coast of the North Island combined with a poor swell forecast for the coming days has forced the postponement of the first event of the Hyundai Pro Longboard Tour, scheduled to take place at Mount Maunganui this weekend (2-3 January 2010).

Top Seeds Topple All Comers |

Day one of the Whangamata Hyundai Pro Longboard Tour event saw the top seeds crush their opponents as they moved through to the quarterfinals of the event which will be held on Sunday (15th March). Number one seed Thomas Kibblewhite (Auck) made easy work in defeating his opponents whom included champion swimmer Moss Burmester (Auck) who was eliminated from the event. |

Taylor Jensen (USA) was unstoppable on his way to winning the fourth leg of the Hyundai Pro Longboard Tour held at New Brighton Beach, Christchurch today (Sunday 22nd February). The ex World number two is in New Zealand on holiday and took the opportunity to compete in the fourth event of the tour trouncing his Kiwi competitors.

The third event of the Hyundai Pro Longboard Tour takes place at Sandy Bay in the Far North this weekend (7-8 February). With no one surfer exerting complete dominance over their opponents, this weekend’s event could be the time for one of the top surfers to make the jump on the pack in a tour defining two days of surfing.
