Twenty years of whitewater adventure on Queenstown’s Kawarau River was celebrated in true eighties style last Saturday night (31 January) at The World bar in Queenstown.

The world’s first commercial riversurfing company, Serious Fun Riversurfing, took a trip back in time to celebrate the occasion with friends from all over the globe.

From left to right: Tony Buchanan (previous guide and operations manger),  Jon Imhoof (original founder of Serious Fun), Rosemary Mirza (guide), Neil Harrison (General Manager of Serious Fun Riversurfing), Judy Sneddon (first female guide from the early 90s), Liane Ingerbman (marketing manager), and Olivier Ramanoel (guide).

Serious Fun began operations in the summer of 1989.
